Privacy Policy

This policy covers how we collect, use, disclose, transfer, and store your information on ConnectR for macOS and iOS.

Last Updated — May 6, 2026

Your data is your data.

We don't have it, we don't share it, and we don't sell it. You are our customer, not our product.

You control everything.

ConnectR is 100% opt-in. No auto-signups. No unsolicited marketing. If you contact us, we reply. If you subscribe, you can unsubscribe anytime — right from the email or in the app.

1. Data Storage

We care a lot about your data being yours. We designed ConnectR to run entirely on your device — it reads your contacts (with your permission), helps you organize relationships and follow-ups, and lets you optionally connect to third-party services like CRM software using their official APIs. We have no servers of our own; your app data stays between your device and (if you've enabled it) your private iCloud, and Next Idea LLC has no access to it. All credentials for connected services are stored securely in your device keychain.

2. iCloud Sync

ConnectR's app data — the contacts, relationships, follow-ups, notes, and met locations you have in the app — is stored on your device. If you have iCloud enabled for ConnectR in your device settings, that data is also synced through your private iCloud using Apple's CloudKit framework, where it serves as a private backup and — if you use more than one device — keeps your ConnectR data in step across them. ConnectR uses your private iCloud only; we have no access to your iCloud ID or its contents.

Shared Circles

If you share a Circle with someone, the contacts in that Circle — along with the notes, follow-ups, and activity history ConnectR keeps for them within the Circle — become visible to the people you've invited, through Apple's CloudKit sharing system. You can grant view-only or edit access. Sharing happens directly between the iCloud accounts involved; Next Idea LLC has no role in, and no visibility into, shared Circles. As the owner, you can stop sharing or remove participants at any time using Apple's standard sharing controls; participants can leave a shared Circle from within ConnectR.

Information we collect — not personally identifiable

We collect a small amount of non-personally-identifiable information, such as crash reports (sent through Apple's standard reporting system, with your opt-in in iOS Settings) and basic app usage metrics. This information does not reflect or reference an individually identifiable user. We use it to fix bugs, improve performance, and inform product decisions.

3. Personal Information

When you contact us — through the Feedback section in the app, our Get Help page, or by direct email — you share personal information with us, including your name, email address, and the contents of your message. We use this information solely to respond to your inquiry and keep track of the conversation. We never add anyone who reaches out for help to any other list.

If you choose to subscribe to our email updates — through the app, an external sign-up form, or a direct request to us — you can pick which categories you'd like to receive (such as marketing, tips, releases, announcements, and beta program invitations). You can change your preferences or unsubscribe from any category at any time — using the link in any email, in the app, or by contacting us.

We keep your support records for as long as it's useful to maintain context for our conversations with you. You can ask us to delete the personal information we hold about you at any time — contact us through any of the channels above and we'll take care of it.

Some of this data is handled by third-party service providers (such as forms processors, customer relationship management software, and email marketing platforms) acting on our behalf. We do not share your personal information with anyone else, and we do not sell it.

4. Service Account Connections and Data Deletions

When you choose to connect ConnectR to a third-party service, ConnectR talks to that service directly from your device using the service's official APIs. We do not run servers in the middle, and we do not save or replicate the data ConnectR exchanges with that service. Account credentials are encrypted and stored securely on-device. Any data that lives in the third-party service is theirs to govern, under their privacy policy. You can disconnect a service from ConnectR at any time in Settings — once disconnected, ConnectR will stop accessing it, and the credentials are removed from your device.

5. ConnectR Pro Subscription

ConnectR offers an in-app subscription called ConnectR Pro, which unlocks the full set of ConnectR features. New subscribers can start with a free trial; if you decide it's not for you, cancel before the trial ends and you won't be charged.

Once your subscription is active, your Apple account is charged at the time you subscribe and again 24 hours before each renewal, at the price shown when you subscribed. You can change your plan, turn off auto-renewal, or cancel anytime from Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptionson your device. Apple handles all billing; we don't see your payment details.

One subscription covers all your devices. To unlock ConnectR Pro on another device, sign in to the same Apple account and tap Restore Purchasesin ConnectR's subscription screen.

Refunds for unused portions of a subscription term aren't provided. If you have questions or run into trouble, the Get Help flow in the app is the best place to reach us.

6. Our Commitment to Children's Privacy

Kids deserve extra care. ConnectR isn't built for anyone under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you are a parent or guardian and you become aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us. If we discover that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without verification of parental consent, we'll remove that information from our customer support records as soon as we know.
